Binding 13 (Boys of Tommen, #1) by Chloe Walsh
It’s been an eternity since a romance novel captured my heart the way Binding 13 did. I wasn’t expecting much from this typical jock-meets-shy-girl trope, but Chloe Walsh completely blew me away.
Shannon Lynch, a fragile soul scarred by years of bullying, finds a glimmer of hope at Tommen College. Her world collides with the dazzling rugby star, Johnny Kavanagh, and what unfolds is a rollercoaster of emotions. Walsh masterfully transforms a familiar plot into a heart-wrenching, exhilarating, and utterly captivating love story.
It was very much the typical popular jock and shy girl love story you’re expecting… except it was so much more. More heartbreaking, more real, more romantic, more gripping. I laughed, squealed, gasped and cried.
Characters were well-developed and you’ll find yourself falling in love with the side characters too. I loved the witty banter and friendships. Some romance books tend to hyper-fixate on the main characters, but Chloe Walsh managed to seamlessly weave in the beautiful relationships amongst all her characters, effortlessly showcasing the depth and complexities of bonds between friends and family.
Binding 13 is a rollercoaster that ends on a cliffhanger, leaving you craving more. Luckily, the sequel is just as fantastic.
If you’re looking for a heartwarming romance that’ll make you laugh out loud and ugly cry, Binding 13 is a must-read for you.
